    As an Usher for Young Children, your primary responsibility will be to provide assistance and support to young children attending our events or programs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for the children and their caregivers.

    The role involves the following key tasks:

    • Greeting and Welcoming: Warmly welcome young children and their caregivers as they arrive at the venue. Provide a friendly and approachable presence to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere.

    • Directing and Guiding: Assist children and their caregivers in finding their designated areas, such as seating arrangements, play zones, or activity stations. Help them navigate the venue to ensure they have a smooth and hassle-free experience.

    • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and well-being of the young children during the event. Be vigilant and attentive to any potential hazards or emergencies, and promptly report any concerns to the event organisers.

    • Assisting with Needs: Be responsive to the needs of young children and their caregivers. Offer assistance with basic needs, such as showing the location of restrooms or providing information about first aid facilities.

    • Engaging and Entertaining: Interact with the children in a friendly and engaging manner. Encourage them to participate in age-appropriate activities and entertainment provided at the event.

    • Supporting Event Organisers: Collaborate with event organisers and other volunteers to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently.
