This opportunity is a youth-led initiative part of Youth Corps Leaders Programme.Are you interested in online befriending? Then join us as we embark on a 3-month peer support journey! Through an online programme with flexible commitment levels, you will have the opportunity to support youths with emotional concerns, and build firm friendships within the peer supporter community. You will also have the chance to pick up peer support skills through nationally-recognised training programmes by the Health Promotion Board, and work alongside our community partners to engage with Singapore’s youth mental health scene!

As a Befriender, you will be matched with a youth with emotional concerns. Over 3 months, you will support the youth on a regular basis, through online text-based platforms such as Telegram. In addition, you will have access to regular support, training opportunities, and collaboration opportunities with the Lighthouse team and our community partners.Our programme features flexible commitment levels and accessible online volunteering – here are our expectations of a Befriender:
