About MDC Volunteer Performers
Volunteer Performers contribute to the Music and Drama Company's artistic and performance requirements as dancers, musicians, singers, or emcees for MINDEF/SAF productions and events. You will help MDC deliver performances that engage audiences, communicate national themes, and strengthen defence engagement through the arts.
This opportunity is suitable for individuals with relevant performance experience who can contribute at a competent standard in rehearsed and live-show environments. Suitable volunteers include dancers with prior performance experience in modern, cultural, or contemporary dance; musicians with strong proficiency in pop or classical music and a credible track record as instrumentalists, vocalists, composers, arrangers, or equivalent practitioners; singers with strong vocal aptitude, sound vocal training, and relevant stage or live performance experience; and emcees with confident stage presence and the ability to host effectively in English and their mother tongue across bilingual or multilingual settings.
Interested individuals should demonstrate relevant experience, performance readiness, and the discipline required to contribute meaningfully in a structured production setting. These roles are not intended for beginners or those seeking basic training exposure. Volunteers must be 25 to 40 years old, and an interview is required as part of the application process. Scheme is open to Singaporeans, new citizens and permanent residents.
