About Gallery Host at Permanent Exhibits Gallery (Singapore Discovery Centre)

Gallery Hosts bring Singapore Discovery Centre's Permanent Exhibits — Through the Lens of Time and Sandbox — to life by engaging visitors through interactive installations and facilitating meaningful conversations around Singapore's story. You will create a welcoming environment for visitor groups such as families and students, enhancing the overall visitor experience through approachable and enthusiastic interaction. Through your presence on the gallery floor, you help foster a deeper appreciation of Singapore's defence narrative in an informal and engaging setting. This opportunity is suitable for individuals aged 15 and above who are passionate about engaging people through stories and interactive experiences. Those below 18 years old will require parental consent. Volunteers should be confident in interacting with a diverse groups of visitors, including families and students, and enjoy creating positive and approachable experiences for others. Selected volunteers will undergo one day of training to equip you with the necessary knowledge of the exhibits, as well as engagement and facilitation skills to interact confidently with visitors.
