About SG Ready Champions

SG Ready Champions put Total Defence into action at the community level by working with other volunteer groups to ensure readiness among residents for prolonged disruptions. In this role, you will help train and equip other volunteers with necessary knowledge and skills, and help coordinate efforts between government agencies and volunteer groups on the ground during times of crisis. As a SG Ready Champion, you will help strengthen community resilience and ensure the community’s readiness to respond effectively when it matters most. Volunteers must be committed to completing six hours of on-site training and/or two e-learning courses each year, covering topics such as essential emergency preparedness knowledge, first aid, CPR/AED, and evacuation procedures. This opportunity is suitable for individuals aged 18 and above. Please note that individuals currently serving in a leadership role with crisis response responsibilities, whether at the workplace or in any volunteering role, are not eligible to participate in this scheme.
