About Victim Care Cadre Programme

VCCP Volunteers, who are also known as Victim Care Officers (VCOs), work with the Police to support victims of crime, including victims of sexual crimes, scams and other serious offences throughout the investigation process and during court trials. You will be trained to provide a listening ear and to look out for these victims, who may be struggling to cope in the aftermath of trauma. Other than through psychological first aid, this also includes signposting victims to appropriate mental health services and social resources to cope better with emotional distress throughout the investigation process. To apply, you must be at least 21 years old, and have a background in (or be studying for) psychology, counseling, social work or relevant fields.
