About Victim Care Cadre Programme

VCCP Volunteers, who are also known as Victim Care Officers (VCOs), work with the Police to support victims of crime, including victims of sexual crimes, scams and other serious offences throughout the investigation process and during court trials. You will be trained to provide a listening ear and to look out for these victims, who may be struggling to cope in the aftermath of trauma. Other than through psychological first aid, this also includes signposting victims to appropriate mental health services and social resources to cope better with emotional distress throughout the investigation process. To apply, you must be a Singaporean or PR who is at least 21 years old, and has a degree/background in (or are studying for) psychology, counseling, social work or relevant fields. Please submit your application at <https://go.gov.sg/applytovccp> and we will get back to you within 2 weeks. If you are in the midst of a police investigation and require Victim Care support, please approach your IO for a referral to our programme.
