Special Olympics is looking for volunteers to support their swimming outreach and aid in pools to support their athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Program is held in competition pool of Clementi Swimming Complex with participating athletes ranging from 12-30 years old.
[Important] - Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 2 sessions per month in subsequent months

Volunteer Requirement:
1. Need to know how to swim (able to swim minimally 50m in any stroke); and
2. Have patience and willing to learn how to interact with persons with intellectual disabilities and on autism spectrum disorder.
3. Need to be in the water with the athletes.
Volunteer Attire:
Volunteers will be required to wear Team Nila shirt upon arrival as a form of identification and wear swim suit during duty in the swimming pool.
Please be mindful of your swim suit attire. Female volunteers are not allowed to wear bikini only when assisting with the programmes. An additional rash guard or swimming costume is safest as the complexity of assisting the athletes can get in the way.
