  • Are you interested in living a positive impact on seniors?

    Join us for OTAH* Fiesta and play interactive games that centre around the seniors' social, physical, cognitive, digital, and creative health. We are currently looking for Outreach Volunteers, Volunteer Befrienders and Volunteer Coordinators.

    *OTAH! (Onwards to Ageing Holistically!) is a programme that aims to enrich the lives of seniors and foster their overall well-being.

    This opportunity is brought to you by the Youth Corps Development Team (Care Corner).

Your role as a Volunteer Befriender is to:

  • Befriend seniors through activities
  • Encourage conversations with the seniors
  • Ensure safety and well-being of seniors

Requirements (Please read before applying)

  • Age range:17-35 years old
  • Physically fit
  • Able to commit to minimally 1 befriending session
  • Preferable for volunteers to be proficient in Mandarin/Dialect (Hokkien etc)
  • Befriending experience is a bonus!

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of volunteers

  • Coordinate with the volunteers by being a point of contact for communication
  • Ensure the safety of volunteers during the door-knocking session
  • Highlight concerns of volunteers to the staff in charge

  • Age range:17-35 years old
  • Physically fit
  • Preferable for volunteers to be proficient in Mandarin or Dialect (Hokkien etc)
  • Able to commit to ALL outreach sessions
