A Walk in Nature provides youths and children from diverse family backgrounds an opportunity to bond and interact through their shared biodiversity experience.This is also an opportunity for these children to learn more about the environment and how they can play a part in conserving our environment through activities and a walking trail at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.
Social Media Volunteer
As a Social Media Volunteer (SMV), you will be involved in capturing heartfelt moments (pictures/videos) at the event. The footages will be posted on YCS social media platforms as a post or Story. An event briefing will be conducted on the event day.

Volunteer Befriender
As a Volunteer Befriender, you will be taking the role of a buddy to 1-2 children. Get to know the children during the walk around Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve as you guide them to appreciate the nature through the activities! You are to also ensure the safety of the children throughout the whole programme.
Volunteer Coordinator
As a Volunteer Coordinator (VC), you will be empowered to lead a group of 5 Volunteer Befrienders (VB) and 5 children, creating a positive volunteering experience for them!Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing group movements during activities, ensuring safety and well-being, ensuring smooth running and timely execution of the programme, and liaising with YCS staff for any updates. VCs will also be involved in learning and development of VBs by overseeing the VBs with the children and providing feedback on VB’s volunteering performance and learning and growth.Please ensure your commitment to the following dates1) 1 Compulsory VC Orientation and Training (O&T):o 14 March (Tuesday), 8.45AM – 1PM at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (Transport will be provided from Kranji MRT at 8.30AM)o This training will equip you in the areas of Volunteer Management, Befriending, Group Facilitation Skills2) Event Dayo 16 March (Thursday), 7.30AM – 1.30PM at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve (Transport will be provided from Kranji MRT at 7.15AM)If you are interested to join us as a VC for this event, please note that you will first need to attend a separate training session under the Orientation and Training session so that you are prepared to lead your team.* Any prior experience in facilitation will be appreciated but not compulsory *
