East Coast Park parkrun (Feb 2020)

East Coast Park parkrun (Feb 2020)
By Team Nila

ABOUT
  • parkrun Singapore is a ground-up initiative to encourage participants to run, jog or walk as a social group, and Team Nila is excited to be part of it!

This is what we will be doing:

    • Encouraging group participation as a means to stay healthy, and promote community building with volunteers/participants from various walks of life
    • Volunteering to support parkrun's island-wide 5km events
    • Enjoying the activities together, either as a participant or the volunteer

If you are an early riser, and/or you have always been active in the morning doing your walks and runs, or simply just wish to pop by and help out a few hours in the morning, this local volunteer led community event opportunity is for you!

    7.00am - 9.00am, Saturday mornings

parkrun Singapore needs you! Every week we organise free, timed, weekly 5km runs every Saturday at 7:30am for all ages and experience.

All of our events are completely organised by our dedicated team of volunteers and we welcome Team Nila to join us to help grow the parkrun community within Singapore.

If you haven’t volunteered before for parkrun please first complete a free one time registration at parkrun.sg.
Be sure to opt in to emails so that you are aware of specific volunteer requests.

We also encourage you to come to a parkrun to experience how our events work prior to volunteering. You’ll see that the roles are easy to learn and that our volunteer teams are friendly and inclusive. You can do this by registering and bringing along your printed barcode to any of our events. parkrun isn’t just about running, you can jog or even walk to complete the distance.

When you would like to help out, go to the volunteer roster and contact us directly at eastcoastparkhelpers@parkrun.com to be rostered.

Please state your registered name, barcode number (you’ll receive this after you register for parkrun), date and preferred role (you can find a list of all the volunteer duties in the supporting documents tab).

After you have volunteered at a parkrun, you can register your volunteering efforts by forwarding your "Thank you for volunteering" email to team_nila@sport.gov.sg where your service hours will be recorded.

Join now and be part of a growing global community of over 1400 parkruns worldwide!

Shifts are available every Saturday throughout the year, 7am - 9am.
