As a Volunteer Befriender, your role is to be the mentor to the children, mainly to facilitate small group discussion with the children and help with ice breaker games if needed. You will also get the opportunity to engage in big group teachings, befriend the children and assist them during the sessions especially in the hands-on activities. Get a chance to witness the children's Show&Tell presentations during graduation ceremony on the last session and create lasting memories with the children and volunteers!
Commitment
- Mandatory volunteer briefing and screening: 6 April (Sat), 2-5 pm at Fei Yue FSC (Choa Chu Kang)
- Mandatory volunteer training: 18 May (Sat), 2-4pm at Fei Yue FSC (Choa Chu Kang)
- At least 4 out of 6 program sessions as listed at SHINE Children and Youth Service (Clementi)
