In collaboration with Lions Befrienders, Follow Me aims to pair youth befrienders to accompany seniors for their medical appointments at hospitals and polyclinics. This will be on an ad-hoc basis at the request of seniors, and volunteers will be awarded service hours based on how long they spent with seniors.
As a volunteer befriender, you'll help your senior book appointments, accompany them during the visits, and help them collect medication.
Volunteers are required to be fully vaccinated and have a negative ART test result before meeting the seniors for their appointments. Volunteers will be provided with an EZ-Link card that contains funds for both transport and ART test costs.
NOTE: The timings and dates of the appointments on this portal are just for attendance taking purposes. Volunteer befrienders will be added into a group chat where requests for medical escorts will be sent and service hours will be credited accordingly.
