ABOUT
  • Come see the beauty of Singapore's heritage through the eyes of a child!

    In this two-day journey alongside children from iC2 PrepHouse, discover (or rediscover) new ways of experiencing the every day!

    Through a series of small group activities that tap on the five senses, guide children through the sounds of fauna, smelling of spices and herbs, to overcoming all odds to emerge as the best pair at a game of Goli and more!

    An exhilarating journey awaits, let's create a unique tale to tell together this September holiday!

As a logistics crew, you will work closely with the storytellers, staff from HeritageCares and iC2 PrepHouse. You will be required to prepare an inventory list, and be aware of the programme flow for both days.

This role may involve some light movement and carry of items, but crew will not be required to lift heavy load.

Storytellers will be required to dramatise a given role and independently draft his or her own script for the character role play. Guidance will be provided by staff from HeritageCares and iC2 PrepHouse along the way.

There will be primarily 2 locations storytellers will be required to be stationed at across the 2 day programme,

1. Fort Canning Park (Outdoors, will be shifted to a sheltered space in the event of wet weather)

2. iC2's space (where the traditional games segment will be facilitated)

As a Befriender, you will act as a guide for children throughout the duration of the session. Your presence will be extremely important in shaping their experience for this programme!

Participating children have varying degrees of Vision Impairment (VI) and shortlisted Befrienders are expected to demonstrate maturity, accountability and independence for this programme.

iC2 PrepHouse will be sharing a guide on engagement with children living with VI during one of the briefing dates listed. A trained staff will also be onsite during all programme days.
