As a Volunteer Befriender (Planning Team), your primary focus will be on setting up and facilitating the happy hour session at NTUC Health Nursing Home (Jurong West). This involves:

• Food and Beverage Procurement
  • Coordinate with the relevant personnel to acquire non-alcoholic beer, assorted beverages, and snacks for the event.
• Setup and Preparation
  • Arrange the designated area for the happy hour, ensuring it's comfortable and inviting for the residents.
  • Set up tables, chairs, and any necessary equipment for tabletop games and booth activities.
  • Add simple props for photo-taking activities.

By taking on the role of a Volunteer Befriender (Planning Team), you'll be instrumental in creating a pleasant experience for the residents at NTUC Health Nursing Home, fostering social connections and enhancing their well-being.

As volunteer coordinator, you will be involved in supporting the volunteer befrienders during the set up/preparation session and the befriending session when engaging with the seniors. You will play an important role in guiding the other volunteer befrienders, ensuring smooth running of the session and honing your leadership skills.
