By Team Nila

ABOUT
  • World Rowing Super60 Singapore is the nation’s first large-scale indoor rowing movement, launched as part of the Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival 2025, curated by Sport Singapore. Brought to you by World Rowing International Federation and Singapore Rowing Association, we’re introducing the sport of rowing to Singaporeans. Over 60 days, the campaign brings 60 indoor rowing activations to locations across Singapore, from schools and malls to offices, gyms and sport centres, giving thousands of participants the chance to row, compete, and experience the sport in an exciting, urban format.

Indoor Rowing – A Sport for All
Indoor rowing is a versatile sport performed on a rowing machine (commonly known as an “erg”) that simulates the motion of rowing a boat. It follows four key phases, Catch, Drive, Finish, and Recovery, each helping to build rhythm, coordination, and overall technique. As a full-body workout, it engages approximately 85% of the body's muscles, making it effective for both cardiovascular fitness and strength training. Indoor rowing is also low-impact and joint-friendly, presenting minimal risk of injury and making it a safe option for long-term physical activity. Highly inclusive and practical, it is suitable for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
