Challenge Yourself HigherY Climb engages youth with special needs through the sport of rock climbing to strengthen their spirit of adventure, resilience, and discipline.
Through the rock-climbing sessions, we encourage youth with special needs to lead an active lifestye, which can improve physical fitness and mental health.

Key responsibilities of Volunteer:
As a volunteer befriender, your role includes:- Befriend and support special needs youth during climbing sessions.
- Support the coach by reinforcing instructions and maintaining a safe climbing environment.
- Show patience and willingness to interact with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder clients
- Encourage people with special needs to help achieve their goals.
Remarks
- Minimum age to volunteer: 18 years old
- Due to safety reasons, volunteers without belaying training are not allowed to assist with any belaying duties or handle any climbing-related duties.
Note:
For New Volunteers:
New volunteers must read the guide/FAQs on go.gov.sg/tshirt-for-new-tn and collect their Team Nila lion t-shirt from 9 Sep 2024 onwards, at the appointed distributor before their first volunteering shift.
