ABOUT

  • With pickleball rapidly growing in the region, United Pickleball Association (UPA) Asia launched the inaugural Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) Tour Asia in 2025. The Tour provides a platform for Asia’s best pickleball players to perform while offering a pathway to aspiring athletes. Each event will also feature hundreds of amateur players, giving them the opportunity to play where the pros play and watch the best in action. 

    PPA Tour Asia is making its Singapore debut. This July, the tour touches down in one of Asia’s most iconic entertainment capitals as pickleball arrives in the Lion City for the first-ever Singapore Open.

    From hawker centres to harbourfront skylines, Singapore moves to its own rhythm — and now the city is ready to add the sound of paddles to the mix. Don’t miss your chance to Play Where the Pros Play in a destination where world-class is the standard.

    With age and rating categories on offer alongside the Pro events, there’s a court waiting for every player.

    Join us at The Sports Arina @ Expo and be part of the moment pickleball arrives in Singapore.

    Team Nila volunteers are required to support the operations of the competition.

(1) Team Nila Volunteer - Venue Operations

Team Nila volunteers are required to assist the event organizer with the following duties: (duties will be assign on the day itself)

1) Accreditation Crew - To check and manage accreditation passes at access points to ensure authorised entry

2) Player Registration - To assist with the distribution of goodies bags

3) Ticket Scanner / Wristbands Issuance - Scan tickets at entrance and issue wristbands to patrons after ticket scan

4) Logistics - Hydration top-up and other logistical requirement

5) Any other duties required.  You may be redeployed to support other operations if needed.

Note:

1) Upon successful registration, you will be invited to join a WhatsApp group for further coordination with the organiser.

2) There will be a virtual volunteer briefing scheduled one week prior to the event. We will share more details via the WhatsApp group.

3) Attire: Team Nila shirt with long pants / bermuda / shorts (knee-length) and sports shoes.

For New Volunteers:

New volunteers must read the guide/FAQs on go.gov.sg/tshirt-for-new-tn and collect their Team Nila lion t-shirt from the appointed distributor before their first volunteering shift.

4) Meal arrangement: Lunch provided for AM shift / Dinner provided for PM shift

5) Volunteers are advised to travel light and bring your own water bottle to refill water.

6) Shift timings are subjected to changes depending on competition schedule.

(2) Team Nila Volunteer - Court Assistant

Team Nila volunteers are required to assist the event organizer with the following duties: (duties will be assign on the day itself)

1) Court Assistant - To assist the referees with the resetting of the courts, verify players names and categories and update attendance into the system.

2) Any other duties required.  You may be redeployed to support other operations if needed.

Note:

1) Upon successful registration, you will be invited to join a WhatsApp group for further coordination with the organiser.
