Duty CARE Officer

Responsibility: To provide psychological first aid, emotional support, practical tips for coping, additional call back support where needed, referral for acute or chronic mental health conditions.

• At least a Master's in Counselling/Psychology or Social Worker (or equivalent, such as Applied Master's), or is currently pursuing one.
• Registered mental health professional, trained in psychological first aid, possess experiences with crisis management, i.e. Understand reactions to stress and crisis, has used crisis intervention skills to assist someone going through crisis, and/or has experience managing persons who are suicidal, self harming, or violent. Examples of crisis events include experiencing/witnessing frightening accidents, family/community violence, traffic accidents, disasters.
