ABOUT
  • Established in 1996, the 29th edition of REAL® (Regular Exercise Active Lifestyle) Run is an annual HomeTeamNS signature event run organised by Home Team NSmen for Home Team NSmen that aims to promote cohesion building, active exercise, and a healthy lifestyle among all our SPF and SCDF Guardians, together with our HomeTeamNS members and everyone.

    Runners of all fitness levels are welcome to participate in our 5km or 10km categories so come join REAL® Run on 11 October 2025 at our venue - Punggol Digital District!

Volunteer roles (actual duty will be assigned by the staff in-charge on the day itself):

1) Scanner Station Support -  to assist the runners to search for their confirmation email, to assist the runner if they face any issues scanning their QR Code to receive their Race details

2) Race Pack Collection Counter - Pass the runners their race singlets, bibs and pre-packed race entry bag

3) Packer - to assist the collection counter to top up race singlets and race entry bag and pack Race entry bags with all vouchers and goodies

4) Any other duties assigned

To ensure the smooth running of the competitions, the staff in-charge may delegate additional tasks during the event.

Note:

1. The event organiser will be adding you into a WhatsApp group nearer the event date to share more details.

2. Attire: Event Shirt* with sports bottom (knee length) and covered shoes.

* Event shirt will be distributed when you report for duty. 

3. Meal Arrangement - A meal will be provided per shift. 

4. Travel Light and do not bring any valuables as there will not be any storage area for belonging.

5.  Bring along your own water bottle to keep yourself hydrated. You can refill your bottles at the site.

Volunteer roles (actual duty will be assigned by the staff in-charge on the day itself):

1) Bag Deposit Counter - to assist the runners to collect their bags and tag them based on their race category then place them on the correct rack and to assist the runners to return their bags to them based on their tag numbers

2) Winners Holding Area -  to gather the winners of the different categories and seat them according to their categories and winner positions, inform them when it is their turn to go up to the stage, and ensure they fill up the Cash Prize letter and collect their prizes

3) Athletes Welfare Area - to assist to pass out finisher tees, finisher medals, plushies, bananas and extra hydration to runners, and ensure runners are in the correct lanes as per their race categories

4) Information Booth - assist to provide accurate information to runners etc.

5) Start & Finish Pen -  to assist to cheer runners at the Start Pen, and capture runner information for winners at the Finish Pen and to cheer runners

6) Hydration Points - to prepare and pour the hydration into cups along the route and cheer runners along the route.

7) Sweeper/Cheer Team - to clear water along the route and cheer for runners.

8) Any other duties assigned
