Volunteer Befriender

Your role as a Volunteer Befriender is to:

• Befriend seniors through the activities
• Encourage conversations with the seniors
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the seniors

Requirements (Please read before applying):

• Age range:17-35 years old
  
• Must be able to speak Mandarin
• Befriending experience would be a bonus!
• Able to commit to minimally 2 sessions.

PLEASE NOTE**

• Onsite Orientation & Training:
  • 3 October OR 7 November, 12:30pm (*Volunteers will only need to attend ONE of the dates)
  • Please report at 12:15pm for the Orientation and Training.

• All volunteers are required to wear a mask at all times.

Volunteer Coordinator

Your role as a Volunteer Coordinator is to:

• Curate and design curriculum of activities to help in the holistic development of seniors
• Support and supervise volunteers by addressing their concerns and acknowledging their efforts throughout the sessions
• Conduct icebreakers and debrief activities with the volunteers
• Execute and ensure smooth operations of the weekly sessions
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the volunteers and seniors

Requirements (Please read before applying)

• Age range: 17-35 years old
• Commit to minimally 5 sessions (on a shift basis)
• Attend 1 Mandatory Orientation and Training (O&T) session
• Attend 1 Mandatory Volunteer Coordinator (VC) Training 
• Must be able to speak Mandarin
• Facilitation experience is a bonus!
