Event volunteer - Actual Day
Team Nila volunteers are required to assist in the roles below. Actual will be allocated by the in-charge on the event day itself.
1) Accreditation
- oversee check-in at the rink
- check accreditation and other information required before entry
2) Announcer
- introduce skaters
- make announcements
- good speaking voice required
3) Music Co-ordinator
- playing of skater's music for practice and competition
4) Time Keeper
- keep track of time for the judges & ensure programs do not go over time
5) Door Marshals
- rink entrance/exit checks
6) F&B/Prize Presentation Co-ordinator
- organise food and beverage
- keep track of inventory and timeslots for meals
- standby judges and prizes for victory ceremony
- assist in victory ceremony
8) Runners
- general help throughout the event
- includes running around the location
- run tasks for officials and judges
9) Any other duties assigned by the event organiser
Notes:
* If you are able to skate confidently or would like to take on Technical volunteer roles such as Lap Counter or Heat Box steward, you may let the event organiser know when you report for your shift.
- Attire: Team Nila tee with jeans/long pants and covered shoes (First time volunteers without the Team Nila tee will be given one when you report for duty). Do bring along a jacket as the venue may be cold.
- Meals will be provided by the event organiser (light breakfast for AM shift, lunch for PM shift).
- Bring along your water bottle to refill water.
-Transport reimbursement will be provided by the event organiser for the shift starting at 4.30am.
- Shift timings are subjected to changes due to competition schedule.
