Volunteer Coordinator
As a Volunteer Coordinator for Project ROSE, you will play a crucial role in helping to support and manage our team of Volunteer Befrienders. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the seniors receive the best possible support and companionship from our volunteers, and ensuring the Volunteer Befrienders are taken care of as well.
You will gain valuable skills in leadership, project management, and communication. You will also have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors in our community and to help bridge the gap between generations.
Each Volunteer Coordinator will manage a team of around 5-6 volunteers, comprising of Youth Corps Volunteers and volunteers from Sembawang and Blossom Seeds.
Key Responsibilities:
- To provide oversight and collate information provided by your team of befrienders on the needs of the assigned seniors, ensuring the seniors receive the support as needed
- To organise the 3 house visit sessions with your team
- To plan the get-together activity alongside adult volunteers
The dates for Run 4 are:
1. Compulsory Orientation & Training (O&T)
Date: 25 November (Sat)
Time: 10:00am - 12:30pm
Location: Bukit Canberra
2. House visits
Dates: 2, 9 December
Time: 3 hours on Saturday mornings, actual timing depends on your assigned group (flexible for discussion)
Location: Sembawang (actual location tbc)
Details: Providing bi-monthly house visits to the identified assigned seniors to check in on their wellbeing and interact with them
3. Team huddle/ planning for Get Together
Dates: 16 December
Time: 10am - 12pm
Location: TBC
4. Get-Together Activity
Dates: 17 December
Time: 10am - 1pm
Location: TBC
Details: Volunteer Befrienders will be there to partake in the activities alongside the seniors.
Volunteer Coordinators are required to sign-up for all the shifts.
