ABOUT
  • MENTORS RECRUITMENT DRIVE 2020

    hello! Beyond Expectations is back for the 5th run & we are now recruiting mentors to join us from July-Dec 2020πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ™‹πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

    In Beyond Expectations, mentors will have the chance to engage secondary school youths in academic tutoring & experiential activities. Each mentor will be paired with a mentee to journey with for next the 6 months! We hope that through these platforms, mentors will be able to form fruitful relationships with their mentees and learn more about the community we work with!

     

    Scope of a Mentor Includes (Not exhaustive): 

    • Befriend and engage with the youths within the program and community
    • Planning of weekly lessons and experiential activities
    • Post Session Meetings/AAR
    • As much intentionality and effort you wish to put into growing your relationship with your mentee ☺️

     

    Date & Time of Sessions: Every Tuesday or Thursday 7-9pm 

    Venue: (TENTATIVE) Beyond Social Services (Tiong Bahru MRT) or T-Net (Henderson) 

    Duration of Run : July-Dec 2020

     

    Timeline of Recruitment:
    21June -10 July 2020: Sign Ups Open
    Concurrently with Recruitment : Meet Up/Zoom Call with Applicants (just to understand each other better!)
    12 July 2020: Confirmation of Mentors 
    13 July 2020: Mentors Initiation (TBC)
    20 July 2020: Orientations (TBC)

Youth Mentor

Commitment:

-Weekly Sessions (Every Tuesday OR Thursday, 7-9pm, from July-Dec)

- Monthly Saturday Experiential Activity (~4h in the afternoon, One Saturday every month (exact date TBC))

 

*Prior Experience is as added advantage but not a pre-requisite:-)
