    Dialect classes (Hokkien) conducted by Youth Corps Singapore Eldercare Cluster is back!

    There will be experienced instructors leading you through the training, so you can be prepared for speaking with seniors, as they are well-versed in the dialect they use. This will help you become more comfortable when dealing with them in the future.

Beginner: zero proficiency in speaking and understanding

Intermediate: minimal/average proficiency in speaking and understanding

Participants will learn how to hold basic conversations in Hokkien in 4 sessions.

Topics to be covered include but are not limited to pronunciation, simple words/phrases/greetings, numbers, food, healthcare, hobbies, and places.

Commitment:

As part of the planning and curating of this programme, we require that you attend all 4 scheduled lessons in order to maximize your learning.

Classes will be kept small to ensure participants have ample opportunity to interact with the instructors and clarify any doubts they may have.

Registration does not guarantee a spot in classes. If registration exceeds class capacity, applicants will be placed on a selection list.

Also, please note that all sessions will be held physically at The Red Box.

Do note that only participants that can commit to all 4 sessions of the dialect class will be considered for the course.
