As part of 8th edition GetActive! Singapore in 2023, Sport Singapore is partnering with National Day Parade 2023 to recruit volunteer cyclists to perform at Padang!

• Commitment Period

- able to participate in weekly weekend rehearsal (mostly on Saturday) from May to August with 90% attendance

- able to attend the audition dates during March - April 2023 (More info to be provided upon registration of interest for audition and 31 March -2 April.

- at least 18 years old with no night blindness (parental consent required for those aged 21 years and below)

- all nationalities are welcome

• Equipment

- Mountain bicycle (provided)

• Intermediate to advanced cycling skills

- able to gear change proficiently to manoeuvre over gentle slopes and flat terrain

- maintain momentum while carrying a backpack of no more than 5kg 

- brake smoothly - able to use both front and back brakes, able to apply brakes to stop with complete control over the bicycle

- knowledge of basic signaling - give hand signals appropriately and check surrounding

May - 6, 13, 20 (Sat)

June - 3, 10, 17, 24 (Sat)

July - 2 (Sun), 8, 15, 22, 29 (Sat)

• Timing

- 1100hrs - 2200hrs

• Rehearsal venues

- Nee Soon Camp, Seletar Camp and Padang

• Medical History

- Participants must be medically fit

- Individuals with heart problems, high blood pressure, asthma, pregnancy, history of heat exhaustion or any other medical ailments or conditions that makes him or her unsuitable for cycling and performing, should not participate
