ABOUT
    • ActiveSG Para Swimming Academy (PSA) will be having their Swim Meet on 23 August 2025 (Saturday) at Delta Sport Centre Swimming Complex.

    • PSA Swim Meet 2025 is for all para swimming participants (from PSA, SDSC, Special Olympics, SPED schools etc) to compete in a friendly competition. There will be 10 events in the competition, 5 will be held at the competition pool; 5 will be held at the training pool). These swimmers have physical and/or intellectual and/or visual impairments.

    • Team Nila will be required to support the operations of their event.

1) Team Nila Volunteer

Roles & Responsibilities: (Actual role will be allocated by event organiser on the day itself).

1) Registration 

2) Usher / Crowd Control

3) Game Station In-charge

4) Startlist Checker at Holding Area

5) Start Gun Presser

6) Any other duties required


Things to note: 

1) You will be added into a WhatsApp group chat upon registration and more details will be disseminated there.

2) Attire: Team Nila tee with bermudas/long pants and sports shoes. 

For New Volunteers:
New volunteers must read the guide/FAQs on go.gov.sg/tshirt-for-new-tn and collect their Team Nila lion t-shirt from 9 Sep 2024 onwards, at the appointed distributor before their first volunteering shift.

3) Meal arrangement: Only light refreshment will be provided.

4) Bring along your own water bottle for hydration. No bottled water will be issued as we work towards a greener community. Water point will be available. 

5)Pack light as there is no secured and dedicated storage space.

2) Team Nila Sport Announcer

Team Nila Sport Announcers will be required:

1. Make general announcements (welcome speech, safety briefing, reminders)

2. Announce race details (event name, heat numbers, swimmers' information)

3. Call swimmers to the holding area

On-site training will be provided.

Note: The above is a non-exhaustive list of the tasks that you may be required to assist in. To ensure the smooth running of the competitions, the staff in-charge may delegate additional tasks during the event. The actual role will be assigned on competition days.
