Community Fair Activity description by Youth Corps Affiliate - Aphasia SG
Hi there! We are from Aphasia SG and we have planned a hands-on activity especially for you!
Experience some of the challenges persons with aphasia can face in their everyday life, and brainstorm some ideas on how to make our community a more aphasia-friendly one!
Join our role play experiential activity where you will get to understand the difficulties persons with aphasia face when ordering food at a hawker centre. Discuss how you would manage the situation in your respective roles and from there, gain more insight on how you can better include persons with aphasia in society.
Learn more about receptive and expressive aphasia and take away strategies that can be useful if you encounter someone with communication difficulties in the community.
Mark your calendars! Our activity will be happening at The Red Box, Nexus room, from 12:50PM to 1:20PM. We can't wait to see you there!
