Volunteer Befriender

Your role as a Volunteer Befriender is to:

• Plan and conduct fun activities which allows for language exchange for seniors (guided by staff)
• Befriend and engage seniors in the activities
• Attend a mandatory Orientation & Training session conducted by staff, and commit for ALL onsite sessions every Wednesday.

Requirements (Please read before applying):

• Age range: 17-35 years old
• Befriending experience is a bonus
• Preferable for volunteers to be proficient in English and Mandarin
• Preferable for volunteers to be keen on learning local dialects (Eg. Hokkien & Cantonese) from the seniors

Session Dates:

• 28 November, 5-6pm (Mandatory O&T)
• Session 1 - 4 December, 3-5pm
  
• Session 2 - 11 December, 3-5pm
  
• Session 3 - 18 December, 3-5pm
