Volunteer Befriender

As a Befriender, you will take on the role of keeping children engaged through online coding games and make learning fun for them on Zoom! Befrienders would also have to ensure a safe online space for the children while facilitating their learning.

*No coding experience/ knowledge is required! *

Commitment:

1. Orientation & Training (O&T) – Online (Zoom)

• All Befrienders are required to attend compulsory Orientation & Training (O&T) on:
  • 27 May 2023 (Sat), 9am to 12pm.
• Please refer to the confirmation email which would be sent to you for more details. 
  

2. Actual Sessions – Online (Zoom)

• Befrienders will be paired with children participants during the actual session for coding games and activities.
• Befrienders are welcome to sign up for more than 1 actual session in the week.
  • 30 May 2023 (Tue), 9am to 12pm
  • 31 May 2023 (Wed), 9am to 12pm
  • 1 Jun 2023 (Thu), 9am to 12pm

Please note that as the session starts at 9am, volunteers are required to log-in from 8.45am to 9am so that the session may commence on time.

CGFK is running for 4 weeks this June holidays. If you are interested to sign up for the other weeks as well, you can sign up at https://go.gov.sg/cgfk-jun23.
