'Be A Samaritan' Programme (BAS)
By Youth Corps Singapore

ABOUT
  • Suicide prevention is everyone’s business. It is our ambition to shift from a culture of silence, to one of openness and empathy, through empowering the wider community to be more vigilant and encourage them to keep a lookout for anyone in distress.

'Be A Samaritan' (BAS) is a 2-part programme conducted by Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) which aims to equip the community with the knowledge and skills to be a first responder to anyone facing a suicide crisis by engaging and encouraging distressed individuals to seek help and providing them with emotional support in an empathetic manner.

This is a workshop opportunity that aims to raise social awareness for your learning and development. No community service is involved; hence service hours will not be awarded.
