    In school and at home, there are many factors in a child’s environment which can affect their emotions; some of these factors may even become stressors. Oftentimes the build up of stress and unpleasant emotions results in poorer focus and overall wellbeing in children. As such, understanding emotions and knowing how to manage and cope with them are important skills that a child should have. 

    In our 5-sessions programme, we aim to educate children aged 10 to 12 years old about mental wellness through the facilitation of interactive and reflective games. Join us as a volunteer befriender, as we delve deeper into the topics of emotion, stress and resilience!

As a volunteer befriender, you will be paired with another volunteer befriender in taking charge of a small group of children (4-5). In your assigned group, you will facilitate and debrief the games and activities of each session.

There will also be a physical chat session for Volunteer Befrienders to understand you better! The session will take 1 hour and will be held at The Red Box. These sessions will be arranged with you.

Please take note of the following commitments:

1) Chat Sessions with us

Date: 15 December 22- 17 January 2023 

2) Orientation & Training (Compulsory) 

Date: 28 January 2023, Saturday

Time: 10:00am-6:00pm

Venue: The Red Box, 113 Somerset Rd

 

3)Actual Programme

Date: 6,9,13,16,20 Feburary 2023, Mondays & Thursdays

Time: 3:00pm-5:30pm

Venue: 611 Yishun Street 61, Block 611 Block 611, Singapore 760611
