As a Volunteer Befriender, you will be engaging seniors at the Senior Activity Centre to teach them digital skills and to access various apps such as Wireless@SG, Gov.sg, SingPass Mobile, video calling, Zoom etc. 

Volunteers are required to commit to:
1) Orientation and Training (Online)

3 Jan (Monday), 7pm to 9.30pm

Please note:

• This session will be held online. Further details will be shared via email when you have been accepted for the volunteering opportunity. 
• Content on how to use the apps and tips on befriending will be shared during this session.
• All volunteers have to be trained before deployment.

2) Four engagement sessions (Physical)

5, 12, 19 and 26 January (Wednesdays), 1.30pm - 5pm

Please note:

• Volunteers will be physically engaging seniors in small groups in accordance to safe management  measures.
• Volunteers have to commit to all 4 engagement sessions. 
• Please select ALL shifts when applying for this opportunity. Volunteers who are able to commit to the Orientation & Training session and 4 engagement sessions will be accepted into the programme. 

For this volunteering opportunity, volunteers are requested to be fully vaccinated to take part to ensure the safety of everyone in the event. Please note that you may be required to show proof of vaccination before deployment and you are only considered fully vaccinated if your 2nd dose was taken 2 weeks before the volunteering date. If you are not fully vaccinated before the event date, please do not apply for this opportunity.
 
For this volunteering opportunity, SAC’s current guidelines is that all volunteers will have to take an ART one day before going for the sessions. Volunteers are required to take a photo of their ART test results and show it for proof of Validity.
