What is Play-Ability?Play-Ability is a recreational sports programme for persons with disabilities (PWDs) that allows PWDS to enjoy sports in a fun and engaging social setting. Team Nila is supporting our Giving Platform - SportCares in Basketball to engage our beneficiaries through sports. [Important] Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of two sessions per month.
Team Nila Volunteer
Volunteers are required to help facilitate the session:-1. Assisting the center staff change over the court before and after the session.2. Assisting the coach with setting up the court and preparing the sports equipment for the session (if any).3. Assisting the coach with cleaning and sanitizing sports equipment, maintain hygiene standards.4. Befriending and interacting with the participants.
Note:
1) You will receive an invitation to join a WhatsApp group with the coaches after your registration is confirmed in the portal.
2) Attire: Team Nila shirt, sport shorts/bermuda and sport shoes. Volunteer with inappropriate attire will be turned away from the volunteering.
For New Volunteers:New volunteers must read the guide/FAQs on go.gov.sg/tshirt-for-new-tn and collect their Team Nila lion t-shirt from 9 Sep 2024 onwards, at the appointed distributor before their first volunteering shift.
3) Bring along your water bottle to keep yourself hydrated throughout the session. Water refill points will be available at the venue.
4) Travel light as there is no storage area for your belonging.
