Volunteer Befriender (Friday)

As an IM-OK Volunteer, you will be engaging seniors to support them in learning how to use the IM-OK Tablet and its various functions, such as checking-in to monitor their well-being, customising health alerts, uploading photos and videos, video calling, etc. 

Volunteers in groups of 2-3s, will be required to do 4 physical check-ins with seniors that they have been paired with, at the seniors' homes. Volunteers will have to commit to either Fridays or Saturdays. Please refer to the bottom of the page for shifts on Saturdays.

Please ensure your commitment to the following dates:

1. Compulsory Physical Orientation & Training (O&T)
   Date: 7 Oct (Sat)
   Time: 9am to 1pm
   Location: Lions Befrienders Training Centre - Blk 163 Stirling Road #01-1220, Singapore 140163
2. 4 Physical Engagement Sessions on Fridays
   Dates: 13 Oct, 27 Oct, 10 Nov, 24 Nov
   Time: 5pm to 9pm
   Location: Engagement sessions will be at seniors’ homes. Exact locations in Tampines will be updated at O&T.
3. Online Debrief
   Date: 27 Nov (Mon)
   Time: 7.15pm to 7.45pm

Please Note:

• Each volunteer has to commit to 1 O&T and 4 engagement sessions (fully on Friday or Saturday). Volunteers must attend O&T before beginning the engagement sessions. More details will be shared via email when you have been accepted for the volunteering opportunity.
• Volunteer hours will be accredited within 2 weeks after the 4th physical session has been completed.
