The responsibility of the Assistant Treasurer is to assist the Treasurer and to assume the responsibilities of the treasurer in his absence. 

The Chairman of the MMB is responsible for the following:
a) Preside in all MMB meetings and ensure that the meetings are well organised and conducted in an effective manner;
b) Ensure that all MMB members share a common understanding of the mosque’s mission and vision as well as the mosque’s strategic plans;
c) Provide leadership and develop a cohesive MMB that is working together for the sole interest of the mosque and Muslim community; and
d) Provide direction to employees and committees formed by the MMB to ensure that activities, programmes and services of the mosque meet the strategic objectives of the mosque.

A Mosque Management Board (MMB) member has a role to foster close relationship with mosque congregants as well as grassroots and voluntary organisations under the mosque vicinity.

They have a responsibility for putting in place principles and practices of good governance. It involves setting direction, managing assets, financial and human resources, overseeing and monitoring organisational performance and ensuring overall accountability.

The MMB consists of the following:

• Chairman
• Vice Chairman
• Secretary
• Assistant Secretary
• Treasurer
• Assistant Treasurer
• Member

The Secretary is responsible for the following:
a) Ensure that the MMB carries out its governance responsibilities and fiduciary duties effectively; 
b) Ensure proper and complete keeping of records and documents of all correspondence of the MMB, including contracts, agreements, building plans, architectural drawing and minutes of meetings; and 
C) The responsibilities that all manpower matters of the mosque comply with the requirements of the Mosque Human Resource Manual.  

The Treasurer is responsible for the following:
a) Ensure that all financial activities of the mosque comply with the requirements of the Mosque Financial Regulation;
b) Ensure submission of the monthly financial statements to the MMB for approval; and
c) Continuously assessing the adequacy of financial management and control at the mosque by- 
    (i) ensuring employees always comply with the financial processes and procedures; and 
    (ii) carrying out surprise checks to ensure proper handling of cash. 

The Vice Chairman is responsible to assist the Chairman and to assume the responsibilities of the Chairman in his absence.
