    Yayasan MENDAKI (“MENDAKI”) is a Self-Help Group established in 1982, committed to uplifting the Malay/Muslim community in Singapore through education and lifelong learning. As part of this mission, MENDAKI presents Raikan Ilmu (RI), its annual flagship movement that promotes lifelong learning and brings people together to learn, explore and grow through community-based experiences.

     

    About RI@Heartlands 2026

    RI@Heartlands brings interactive, hands-on learning experiences directly to Singapore’s heartlands, making learning accessible for families, youth and individuals.

    • Launch: 13 & 14 June 2026 (Our Tampines Hub)
    • Island-wide series: 10 weekends across Singapore
    • Finale: 3 & 4 October 2026
    • Last year: 100+ activities and 47,000 participants engaged

    This year’s edition will be even bigger, with more partners and diverse activities designed to spark curiosity and meaningful learning for all ages.

    Volunteer With Us – Make a Meaningful Impact

     

    Be part of creating meaningful community experiences. As a volunteer, you will support event operations and engagement activities that bring learning to life for families and individuals. Your involvement helps make learning more accessible while directly supporting MENDAKI’s mission to uplift the community through education.

     

    Please Note:

    • By volunteering for this activity, you consent to the sharing of your personal information with MENDAKI and agree to be registered as a MENDAKI volunteer. MENDAKI may contact you with updates on future volunteer opportunities.
    • Please also note that photos, videos, and/or interviews may be captured during events and used by Yayasan MENDAKI and/or the organiser for marketing and publicity purposes. Volunteers will be notified in advance should there be any changes to the programme.

Event Support APPLY

Volunteers will be deployed across various functions to support the smooth running of the event. Roles may include, but are not limited to, Booth Attendant, Registration Counter Attendant, Event Ambassador and Usher etc. Volunteers may be assigned to one or multiple roles throughout their shift, depending on operational needs

Volunteers will be responsible for:

  • Managing guest registration and check-in processes
  • Distributing event collaterals and materials
  • Providing accurate information and assistance to guests
  • Guiding and ushering guests to designated areas
  • Supporting on-site event operations as required

Volunteers should be adaptable, proactive, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with guests.

Deployment Details:

  • There will be two shifts, each lasting 6 hours (inclusive of a 1-hour break)
  • Final deployment timings will be shared closer to the event date.

Please consult the event poster for details on timing, rather than focusing on the shift hours. Shifts have been extended to allow flexibility in case of any discrepancies in volunteer hours.

Roving Emcee APPLY

This role is perfect for anyone interested in trying out emceeing in a fun, informal setting. As a roving emcee, you’ll engage with attendees, make live announcements, introduce activities, and help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere across the event grounds.

No prior emceeing experience is required—basic training and guidance will be provided. All you need is a positive attitude, good energy and a willingness to interact with the crowd.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Move around designated learning zones to engage with attendees.
  • Make informal announcements and share key event information.
  • Introduce performances, activities or booth highlights.
  • Encourage crowd participation and maintain a lively atmosphere.
  • Support crowd flow by directing attendees when needed.
  • Work closely with the event team to stay updated on schedules and announcements.
