Volunteer Befriender

Your role as a Volunteer Befriender is to:

• Befriend seniors through the activities
• Initiate & encourage conversations with the seniors
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the seniors

Requirements (Pls read before applying):

• Age range: 17 - 35 years old
• Able to commit to min. 3 sessions 
• Able to attend the online orientation and training session
  
• Preferable for volunteers to be comfortable conversing in Mother Tongue

O & T (Zoom) - 12 July 2024 (Friday),3:30-4:30pm

Session 1 - 19 July 2024 (Friday), 3:00-5:00pm

Session 2 - 26 July (Friday),; 3:00-5:00pm

Session 3 - 2 Aug 2024 (Friday), 3:00pm-5:00pm

Session 4 - 16 Aug 2024 (Friday), 3:00pm-5:00pm

Session 5 - 23 August 2024 (Friday),3:00pm-5:00pm

Volunteer Coordinator

Your role as a Volunteer Coordinator (VC) is to, with the support of the YCD team & staff:

1. Plan: Curate and design activities to help with the holistic development of seniors

2. Lead: Guide a group of volunteers through the weekly sessions

2. Ops:

• Facilitate briefings and debrief sessions,
• Lead and ensure smooth operations of the sessions, and
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the seniors and volunteers

• Age range: 17 - 35 years old
• Able to commit to ALL the sessions
• Preferable for volunteers to be comfortable conversing in Mother Tongue
