    • You will have the very unique opportunity to bridge generations by learning carpentry skills, sharing your creativity and companionship with seniors. Get crafty with your hands as you assist seniors, build connection and learn a new skill! *Due to the nature of heavy load work, this opportunity is only open to male individuals aged 17 to 35.

    • This opportunity is brought to you by the Youth Corps Development Team (Care Corner) in partnership with Goodlife! @ Bukit Purmei.

Volunteer Befriender

As a Volunteer Befriender, your role will be to:

  • Assist seniors in basic carpentry techniques and safety measures
  • Build connections with seniors through the carpentry sessions
  • Collaborate with seniors on crafting carpentry projects
  • Support in logistics (setting up, tearing down, painting, moving of equipment etc.)

Requirements (please read before applying):
  1. Age range: 17-35 years old
  2. Male volunteers only due to nature of heavy load work
  3. Attend the compulsory orientation & training on 4 May 9am (before the start of the first session)
  4. Able to attend at least 5/6 of the sessions
  5. Bonus1: Proficiency in English & an additional Mother Tongue/Dialect (Mandarin, Hokkien)
  6. Bonus2: Befriending experience

All sessions will be held on-site at Goodlife! Bukit Purmei @ 108 Bukit Purmei Road #01-105, Singapore 090108.
